Sleep, Sweet Restful Sleep
Sleep ……. so necessary, so blissful, so natural. Yet we can so easily spend our rest time tossing, turning, worrying, just lying there with our thoughts spinning or even wandering aimlessly around the house. And then, we suffer with unclear thinking, lack of emotional control and maybe even memory issues ( check out this study reported in the NY Times in 2007).
Most sleep issues follow one of two patterns: either difficulty falling asleep or falling asleep OK but waking up one or more times during the night. Most of the time, the cause can be traced back to stress or anxiety. Of course we can’t remove all the stress in our lives, but what we can do is deal with it more effectively. In fact you probably already know some techniques but they don’t seem to come to mind when you need them.
